Cape Fear Region Players to Watch (Girls)

PLAYERS TO WATCH

 With try-outs out of the way for most teams in the cape fear region and Boys and Girls pre-season Jamboree's Starting up this weekend I believe we are in for a very entertaining High Schools Hoops Season. Over the past couple months I've had to check out several players in the area so without hesitation I present you with my 2012-13 PLAYERS TO WATCH segment of the blog.

GIRLS

1. Amber Doniere - Laney High School

Laney's leading scorer and rebounder last year, led young Bucs to a second-place finish in the Mideastern Conference and the second round of the NCHSAA 4A playoffs. I look for her to have a POY type of year in the tough Mideastern Conference.

2. Breanna Edwards - Ashley High School

Fresh off a first place finish in the Mideastern Conference Edwards will look to lead her squad to Ashley squad through a tough schedule and look to make a run in the state playoffs

3. Janea Williams - Pinecrest High School
The 6'3 Hooper recently committed to play basketball at the University of North Florida over a couple of other schools. I'm Sure she will be out to improve her game this season and get ready for the next level.

4. Jotionette JJ Jones - New Bern High School
Jones Was a first team All conference selection last season for the bears. She Willl be a big part of determining how far they go this season. a guard with a knack for finding the hole she is always a threat to go for double figures.

5. Chatori Major - Lejeune High School
Already Committed to play next season at UNC-Asheville. Major can fill it up she tore up opponents last season finishing with a average of about 21 points pe game. It's her senior year and a improved game look for her and the Lady Devilpups to make some noise down in Jacksonville.

With these five players you have stat sheet stuffers and with all of them in their senior year look for the to try and go out with a bang.
